F.A.Q.

How long will a resurfaced fixture last?

If the work is done properly and maintained properly it will last between 10-15 years.  The Urethane in the No-Spray method will have to be re-applied about every year (this is done by the homeowner).

Are Bath Liners better than resurfacing?

I have torn out many bath liners.  Poor workmanship is usually the cause for a failed liner.  Most of the time water will eventually leak around the drain or the area where the tub touches the wall.  When this happens water becomes trapped between the liner and the tub.  You will first notice a "squishy" feel to the liner followed by a bad odor such as a stagnant water smell.  Liners are considerably more expensive.  Most liner companies will not warranty a liner unless they install their  wall system as well.  This can cost as much as $3200.00.

How long does the process take start to finish?

Usually it only takes between 2-3 hours to complete the job.

How do I clean my tub after it has been resurfaced?

You can use any liquid or foam bath cleaner.  Never use an abrasive on your refinished surface.  If the No-Spray method was used you cannot use any cleaner with bleach or ammonia.  Using a Urethane Polish (NU FINISH) will help prolong your finish. NU FINISH can be found at Wal Mart or Dollar General.

Can I use a bath mat?

Yes, but make sure it does not have suction feet.  We offer a permanent non-skid surface.

How do I prepare my Bath before you arrive?

All dripping faucets must be repaired.  Shower curtains and doors should be removed.  Clear all countertops, back of toilets, rugs and window treatments.

Which Method is better, the Spray or the No-Spray?

The No-Spray method comes with a lifetime warranty against chipping, cracking and peeling while the Spray method comes with a 1-5yr warranty.  The No-Spray method is good for Tubs that are in fairly good shape to begin with.  Since it is a clear coating any repair or discoloration that we cannot remove during the etching process will show through the clear coating when it dries.  The Spray process will cover any discoloration or repair we have to make to your tub.

My opinion is always choose the No-Spray process when feasible.  Anytime you paint anything it will eventually peel or flake off.  Have you ever seen a house, or any item for that matter, that has been painted not peel eventually?  If you get a chip or scratch on a painted tub and you don't immediately repair the damage water will get in the damaged area and cause the surrounding area to peel.  This does not happen using the No-Spray process.
